Bayer Leverkusen secured a dramatic 4-3 away victory against Mainz in a seven-goal Bundesliga encounter on Saturday. Moussa Diaby scored a stunning 18-meter curling effort into the top corner in the 65th minute to help seal the win for Carles Martinez's side. The result marks back-to-back league victories for Leverkusen following an eventful contest at the MEWA ARENA.
Leverkusen built an early 2-0 lead through Robert Andrich and Patrik Schick before Anthony Caci leveled the match with a first-half brace for Urs Fischer's Mainz side. Jarell Quansah restored Leverkusen's lead early in the second half before Diaby added the fourth goal. Benedict Hollerbach scored a stoppage-time consolation for the hosts, but Leverkusen held on for all three points.
