Germany travels to face Greece at Toumba Stadium in Thessaloniki on October 4, 2026, in a UEFA Nations League group fixture. Germany manager Jürgen Klopp seeks to build momentum following his first victory as head coach, a 2-0 win over Serbia featuring goals from Tom Bischof and Florian Wirtz. Greece currently tops the group standings ahead of both Germany and the Netherlands.
Germany previously suffered a 1-0 loss to Greece in Augsburg earlier in the campaign. Squad updates indicate Serge Gnabry has departed the national team camp to return to Munich, reportedly for load management reasons. Meanwhile, Greece attacker Christos Tzolis is considered unlikely to feature due to a sustained thigh injury.
