Schlotterbeck left out of Germany squad against Greece – here’s why

Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck has been omitted from Germany's official UEFA matchday squad to face Greece in the Nations League. Despite traveling with the team and being present at the stadium, manager Jürgen Klopp chose to leave the 26-year-old center-back off the final roster.

The decision was made for workload management, as Schlotterbeck has recently returned from an injury. His absence from the squad opens up an opportunity for Inter Milan defender Yann Aurel Bisseck to feature alongside Jonathan Tah in central defense, while Bambasé Conté takes over Schlotterbeck's number 15 shirt.
