UEFA Nations League: Netherlands beat Serbia from Germany’s group, Bundesliga duo score for Austria

The Netherlands secured a 2-1 away victory over Serbia in League A of the UEFA Nations League to move to the top of Group 2. Striker Mexx Meerdink scored both goals for the Oranje, opening the scoring with a first-half penalty before adding the winner set up by Guus Til. Serbia's lone goal came from substitute Luka Jovic early in the second half.

Elsewhere in international action, Cody Gakpo suffered a first-half injury and was replaced by Ruben van Bommel. In League B, Austria defeated Kosovo 3-1 with goals from Bundesliga midfielders Junior Adamu and Carney Chukwuemeka. Additionally, Denmark claimed a 2-0 win over Wales behind contributions from Joakim Maehle and Adam Daghim.
