Borussia Dortmund coach Niko Kovac has provided a squad update ahead of the club’s upcoming Bundesliga clash with Werder Bremen, with Nico Schlotterbeck, Julian Ryerson and Konstantinos Karetsas among several players in doubt.

Borussia Dortmund head coach Niko Kovac has revealed several injury doubts ahead of Friday's Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen. Nico Schlotterbeck left the Germany national camp due to a training injury, while Julian Ryerson, Konstantinos Karetsas, Daniel Svensson, and Carney Chukwuemeka are also managing health and fitness concerns following the international break.
Kovac explained that Schlotterbeck has been training individually, with hopes of joining team sessions before Friday. The manager also criticized the heavy international schedule, arguing that playing four competitive Nations League fixtures caused excessive physical strain and travel fatigue for players.
