Burnley Women continue winless start to the season…
Burnley Women suffered a 4-3 defeat against Sheffield United at Turf Moor, extending their winless start to the Women's Super League 2 season. After Mollie Rouse scored early for the visitors, Burnley surged to a 2-1 half-time lead courtesy of goals from Emma Siddall and Leah Galton. However, second-half strikes from Halle Houssein, Ava Baker, and Abbie Jones secured the comeback victory for the Blades.
Burnley pulled a goal back late in stoppage time through a Leanne Cowan own goal, but Jackie Bachteler's side could not find an equalizer. The loss leaves Burnley second from bottom in the WSL2 table with only two points from their opening six fixtures.
