In his final match before being sacked, Burnley manager Nicky Hayen revealed that Kyle Walker and Armando Broja both suffered injuries during a 4-1 defeat against Lincoln City. Broja was substituted after just 13 minutes due to a suspected serious groin issue, while Walker was taken off at half-time because of an injury rather than tactical reasons.
Burnley's lone goal came from Broja's replacement Andreas Hountondji, but Lincoln City rallied to claim victory at Sincil Bank. The setbacks add to a lengthy absentee list for the Clarets, although Josh Cullen, Jaydon Banel, and Ashley Barnes recently returned to action with the under-21 squad.
