Burnley have been linked with former CSKA Moscow boss Fabio Celestini as they search for Nicky Hayen's replacement…
Fabio Celestini has emerged as a strong contender to become the next Burnley head coach, according to a report from The Athletic. The Clarets are seeking a replacement following the dismissal of Nicky Hayen, who was sacked after a 4-1 loss to Lincoln City left the team 22nd in the Championship.
Celestini, a 50-year-old former Swiss international, previously won a league and cup double with Basel and most recently managed CSKA Moscow. His emergence follows Burnley's appointment of Diego Lopez as chief football officer and a reported rejection from manager Rob Edwards.
