Cruz Ibeh Middlesbrough development plan after important summer transfer decision

Middlesbrough manager Kim Hellberg has outlined his development plan for 17-year-old striker Cruz Ibeh after the club decided against sending him out on loan during the summer transfer window. Hellberg explained that finding the right balance between first-team training and match minutes is essential to help the academy talent reach his full potential.

Ibeh made his senior debut last season against Fulham in the FA Cup and has since made three cameo appearances. Recently returning to Middlesbrough under-21 action, the teenager has scored six goals in four games, which includes a hat-trick against Leeds United U21s.
