Habib Diarra has been out of action since suffering a hamstring injury in Sunderland's win over Fulham on the second weekend of the season
Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris expects midfielder Habib Diarra to return to action within two to three weeks following a hamstring injury. Diarra sustained the issue during Sunderland's Premier League victory over Fulham in the second match of the season. The midfielder was scheduled for a follow-up scan to verify his recovery progress ahead of a demanding fixture schedule.
Sunderland face seven matches in October across multiple competitions, including league fixtures against Brighton and Bournemouth, European trips to Torreense and Lech Poznan, and a Carabao Cup tie against Brentford. Sunderland entered the international break 14th in the Premier League table after winning one of their opening five league matches.
