Kim Hellberg outlines Middlesbrough's plan for teenage striker Cruz Ibeh
Middlesbrough head coach Kim Hellberg has outlined the importance of regular match action for Cruz Ibeh, who has been in strong form for the Under-21s. With first-team spots competitive, Hellberg stated it is more beneficial for the 17-year-old forward to earn consistent playing time at the youth level while continuing to train with the senior squad.
Ibeh made his senior debut in January against Fulham and appeared off the bench against Wrexham earlier this season. He has since scored four goals in three Premier League 2 games, including a hat-trick against Leeds United, and is set to feature against Genk in the Premier League International Cup.
