Middlesbrough were credited with an interest in the Sweden international over the summer but nothing materialised in the end.

Harry Mail argues that Middlesbrough should rekindle their summer interest in Malmo midfielder Otto Rosengren if loanee Connor Barron returns early to Rangers. Middlesbrough, managed by Kim Hellberg, previously targeted the 23-year-old Sweden international, but a move failed to materialize before the summer transfer deadline.
Mail suggests Rosengren would provide essential midfield depth alongside Aidan Morris, Sebastian Berhalter, and Riley McGree. With Rosengren's Malmo contract expiring in late 2027, the author believes the January transfer window presents an ideal opportunity for Middlesbrough to swoop for the creator.
