Middlesbrough’s ‘staggering’ transfer deal & two stars picked out for Hellberg praise

Middlesbrough maintained their position at the top of the Championship table following a commanding 3-0 victory over Charlton Athletic at the Riverside Stadium. Sebastian Berhalter opened the scoring after being set up by Amario Cozier-Duberry, before Berhalter provided an assist for Boro's second goal. Striker Will Lankshear also starred, earning Man of the Match honors while taking his total to 15 goals for the campaign across all competitions.

Dominic Shaw highlighted the impact of Berhalter, noting Middlesbrough signed him for less than £1m during the summer transfer window. Shaw also commended captain Callum Brittain and the central midfield partnership of Berhalter and Aidan Morris, while goalkeeper Radek Vitek secured an untroubled clean sheet without having to make a single save.
