Portsmouth sporting director Rich Hughes has revealed plans to add another grass pitch at the club's Copnor Road training ground. The facility currently features three-and-a-half pitches, with one designated for the Under-18 squad. Hughes confirmed that discussions with the board are ongoing regarding the project to expand playing space and enhance player preparation.
The training ground, purchased by owners Tornante from Roko in June 2021, has seen steady upgrades, including renovated buildings, relaid surfaces, and improved drainage. While a specific timeframe has not been set, Hughes emphasized that creating another pitch is the priority for the club's next development phase.
