Pompey make the long trip to face early Championship strugglers Burnley on Saturday.

Portsmouth manager John Mousinho has warned that their upcoming Championship match against Burnley will be a tough test despite the Clarets' poor form. Mousinho acknowledged Burnley's year-long winless streak at Turf Moor must end eventually, urging his squad to remain focused when they face new manager Fabio Celestini's side.
Burnley currently sit in the Championship relegation zone, having failed to win a league match at home since October 2025. In contrast, Portsmouth enter the contest in strong form, sitting just two points outside the play-off places after suffering only one defeat in their last eight games.
