Sheffield United supporter James Kemp, known as 'Blade on a Bike', has raised his fundraising target to £50,000 after achieving his initial £10,000 goal. Kemp is cycling to all 23 of Sheffield United's away matches this season to raise funds for Weston Park Cancer Charity. He reached the milestone after cycling to 10 away stadiums, including a trip to Bochum, Germany.
The money raised will contribute toward an MRI Simulator designed to improve radiotherapy planning and patient recovery times. Kemp was motivated to start the fundraiser after his partner's stepdad was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, and club legend Billy Sharp has offered to join him on one of his rides.
