Sheffield United faced the Premier League new boys on Friday to get some minutes during the international break.

Sheffield United were defeated 2-0 by Hull City in a behind-closed-doors friendly match on Friday, according to HullLive reporter Baz Cooper on X. Chris Wilder's side faced the Tigers at the MKM Stadium during the international break to maintain match fitness, with Joe Gelhardt and Lucas Gourna-Douath scoring the goals for the hosts.
The friendly took place amid an inconsistent start to the Championship campaign for the Blades, who currently sit 18th in the table after eight matches. In contrast, Sergej Jakirovic's Hull City side have lost only one of their first five games since gaining promotion to the Premier League.
