The club in a Manchester suburb fell out of business in 2012. They are aiming to make the 'greatest climb English football has seen'

English non-league side Flixton FC has been revived by American financier Chris Garcia, the CEO of Wilshire Quinn Capital, after folding in 2012. Garcia purchased the club's Valley Road ground and funded major renovations, including a rebuilt clubhouse, a new pitch, and updated stands. Following a year spent playing friendlies to prove their viability, Flixton gained admission to the tenth-tier North West Counties Football League for the 2026-27 campaign.
Former Manchester United youth player Alex Mortimer was appointed manager, alongside assistant Rhodri Giggs and club secretary Katherine Mortimer. Rebranded and well-resourced, the club has drawn top-flight players such as Jadon Sancho to use its upgraded facilities for private off-season workouts. Flixton currently sits near the top of its division and aims to climb the English football pyramid.
