Ex-Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale's career has taken a dramatic turn since leaving the Gunners.

Aaron Ramsdale has become the fourth-choice goalkeeper at Championship side Southampton just three years after making the PFA Team of the Year with Arsenal. After Mikel Arteta replaced him with David Raya, Ramsdale suffered relegation with Southampton in 2024/25 before spending an unconvincing loan spell at Newcastle United under Eddie Howe.
Following Newcastle's choice not to sign him permanently, Southampton head coach Tonda Eckert placed Daniel Peretz, George Long, and Jamie Jones ahead of Ramsdale in the squad. Despite reported transfer interest, Ramsdale stayed to avoid disrupting his young family and aims to fight for his place until January.
Southampton may end up in the South Coast derby under Tonda Eckert regardless of the FASaints Marching
