What more could West Ham United playmaker Arne Engels have done to force his way back into the Belgium squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations…

West Ham United playmaker Arne Engels has been left out of Belgium's squad for upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures by newly appointed manager Mark van Bommel. Engels, who signed with West Ham for £22 million from Celtic, remains on four international caps and has not played for his national team since 2024.
Van Bommel explained that midfield competitors playing top-flight football, including Kevin de Bruyne, Chelsea's Romeo Lavia, and Parma's Mandela Keita, are currently preferred over Championship options.
