Tomáš Souček scored a penalty and played just over an hour on his return from an ankle injury as West Ham defeated Wycombe Wanderers 2-0 in a private friendly at Rush Green on Friday. Joël Piroe added the second goal for manager Nuno Espírito Santo’s side against the League One visitors.
Souček has yet to make a competitive appearance this season, but West Ham reportedly hope to include the midfielder against QPR on Friday, October 9. His potential return provides midfield depth, especially with Mohamadou Kanté suspended, though it remains unconfirmed whether Souček will start or appear as a substitute.
