Werder Bremen managing director Clemens Fritz has confirmed that the club plans to hold transfer discussions with West Ham United regarding striker Niclas Füllkrug. The 33-year-old forward rejoined Bremen on a season-long loan deal in the summer without an option to buy. Fritz stated that the German club is keen to retain Füllkrug beyond the current campaign, though negotiations over the necessary financial terms will be critical.
Füllkrug has scored 12 goals in 10 matches this season and earned a recall to the German national team under Jurgen Klopp. West Ham originally signed the striker for €27m in 2024 and hold a contract with him until 2028, meaning the London club remains under no immediate pressure to sell.
