Manor Solomon’s West Ham struggles can be explained with one obvious reason

Hammers argues that Manor Solomon's struggles at West Ham United stem from lacking an attacking left-back partner comparable to Junior Firpo. Solomon flourished alongside Firpo at Leeds United during their 2024/25 Championship-winning campaign, where overlapping runs gave him room to drift centrally. Without that dynamic presence in West Ham's current system alongside Morato or Ollie Scarles, opponents routinely double-team the Israeli winger.

The piece notes Solomon struggled during West Ham's recent 3-2 defeat to Southampton before being substituted by manager Nuno Espirito Santo. With winger Edvin Austbo pushing for a starting role, the writer suggests West Ham may need to recruit an attack-minded left-back in January to unleash Solomon's best form.
