Nuno reacts to new Edson Alvarez question as West Ham absence drags on

West Ham United manager Nuno Espirito Santo has stated that midfielder Edson Alvarez remains part of his plans, despite the Mexico captain's ongoing absence from matchday squads. Speaking ahead of West Ham's match against Lincoln City, Nuno explained that all players in the building are working toward opportunities, emphasizing that it is up to the coaching staff to make selection decisions as chances arise.

Alvarez has not featured for West Ham since an August Carabao Cup victory over Portsmouth, having also spent the previous season on loan at Fenerbahce. Although he participated in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Wycombe during the international break, Nuno has consistently preferred other midfield options including Tomas Soucek, Arne Engels, and Lewis Orford.
