The long-awaited return of Championship action sees Wolves head to Middlesbrough for a clash between two of the division’s early pacesetters.

Wolverhampton Wanderers travel to Middlesbrough as Championship action returns following the international break in a battle between early pacesetters. Wolves manager Cesar Peixoto revealed that Fer Lopez and Jordan James returned from international duty carrying minor injuries and will be assessed before the match. While Rafiki Said is prepared to feature, Yerson Mosquera and Raul Jimenez remain unavailable for Wolves. Middlesbrough will be without defender Alfie Jones for three fixtures due to injury.
Both clubs enter the contest having suffered only one Championship defeat this season. Wolves previously claimed back-to-back 1-0 victories against Sheffield United and in the Black Country derby. Meanwhile, Middlesbrough are unbeaten in their last six league matches, having recently salvaged late 2-2 draws against Birmingham City and Millwall while winning their other three home games.
