Wolves boss Cesar Peixoto says Spain Under-21 star Fer Lopez is not guaranteed to be fit for Middlesbrough game after picking up an injury on international duty.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Cesar Peixoto revealed forward Fer Lopez is not 100% certain to start against Middlesbrough on Saturday. The 22-year-old suffered an injury while on international duty with the Spain Under-21 squad and reported physical discomfort during recent training. Peixoto indicated he will confer with the medical staff and Lopez before deciding whether to risk him.
Wolves face a congested schedule of three matches in six days, prompting caution over squad fitness. In addition to Lopez, midfielder Jordan James returned from Wales duty with a minor foot issue, while Jean-Ricner Bellegarde might require rest following international travel and appearances with Haiti.
