WREXHAM maintained their spot at the head of the Adran Premier, but they were made to work hard for the three points at Barry.
Wrexham preserved their position atop the Adran Premier table with a hard-fought 3-1 victory away against Barry. Natasha Thomas opened the scoring for Jenny Sugarman's side in the 17th minute off an assist from Maria Francis-Jones, followed quickly by Faye Knox firing into the top corner six minutes later. Erin Murray pulled a goal back for the hosts just before halftime in the 43rd minute.
Wrexham re-established control in the 54th minute when a corner delivered by Francis-Jones went straight into the Barry net. The result marked Wrexham's seventh win in eight matches this season, maintaining their lead at the top of the standings on goal difference ahead of The New Saints, who defeated Aberystwyth Town 4-0.
