JENNY SUGARMAN says Wrexham faced something different as they maintained their hold on top spot in the Adran Premier with victory at Barry.
Wrexham Women overcame windy conditions and an aggressive press from Barry to secure a hard-fought 3-1 away victory, keeping them at the top of the Adran Premier table. Head coach Jenny Sugarman noted that Barry's tactics created unique challenges, requiring her side to adapt their problem-solving and focus on quick, short connections.
Natasha Thomas opened the scoring for Wrexham in the 17th minute off an assist from Maria Francis-Jones, before Faye Knox added a second six minutes later. After Barry's Erin Murray pulled a goal back before halftime, Francis-Jones sealed Wrexham's seventh win of the campaign by scoring directly from a second-half corner.
