Wolves signed Jordan James after an excellent Leicester City loan, but his situation could have panned out very differently last season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Jordan James confirmed that Wrexham AFC previously showed interest in signing him before his recent moves. James joined Wolves on loan from Stade Rennais during the summer transfer window after an impressive loan spell at Leicester City, noting to BBC Sport that the opportunity to join Wrexham had passed by the time his latest transfer materialized.
During his time at Leicester City last season, the 22-year-old scored 11 goals and registered four assists across 34 appearances in the Championship. Despite his productive stint, Leicester suffered relegation, and James is now competing for regular minutes at Wolves under manager Cesar Peixoto.
