Tom O’Connor reflects on Wrexham achievements after leaving Racecourse

Tom O'Connor reflected on his time at Wrexham AFC after leaving the club by mutual consent to join Peterborough United on a permanent basis. The 27-year-old Irishman originally joined Wrexham from Burton Albion in January 2022 and made 115 appearances, scoring eight goals while helping manager Phil Parkinson's squad secure three successive promotions from the National League to the Championship.

O'Connor spent part of the 2025-26 season on loan at Peterborough United, where an injury cut short his 19-match stint before he finalized his permanent switch. During his spell with Wrexham under owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, O'Connor transitioned from midfield into the defense to become a key backline contributor.
