Wrexham captain Dominic Hyam expressed disappointment after being left out of Scotland's squad for upcoming Nations League fixtures. New Scotland head coach Sebastien Pocognoli omitted the 30-year-old center-back ahead of a four-match schedule beginning with an away fixture against Slovenia. Hyam, who holds four international caps, affirmed his determination to earn a recall.
Hyam previously made Steve Clarke's squad for the 2026 World Cup finals but remained an unused substitute across matches against Brazil, Morocco, and Haiti. Following Clarke's departure, Pocognoli took over as national team boss. Hyam confirmed he has not yet spoken directly with Pocognoli but intends to win back his spot through strong Championship performances with Wrexham.
