Sheffield Wednesday have sacked manager Henrik Pedersen following back-to-back League One defeats.

Sheffield Wednesday have dismissed manager Henrik Pedersen following a 2-0 League One defeat against Doncaster Rovers. The loss marked a second consecutive league defeat for the Owls, leaving the club in eighth place in the table after 11 matches, two points outside the play-off positions.
Pedersen had spent just over a year in charge at Hillsborough. Sporting Director Simon Wilson explained that the club decided to make a change due to a lack of progress in establishing a consistent style of play. Matt Hamshaw has been named interim manager while the search for a permanent successor takes place.
