JACK GAUGHAN: Manchester City's stars are set to meet up as a group on Thursday for the first time since last week's bombshell verdict on the club's finances.

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca is scheduled to address his squad on Thursday at the City Football Academy for their first group session since the Premier League's financial verdict. The meeting follows an independent commission finding that City artificially inflated commercial revenues by £830 million, a ruling the club strongly contests and has appealed. Maresca was seen arriving at the Etihad Stadium on Monday as players prepare to return from international duty ahead of Sunday's match against Liverpool.
Players including Phil Foden and Antoine Semenyo remained at club facilities during the break, while others, such as Enzo Fernandez and England's Elliot Anderson, Marc Guehi, and Rico Lewis, are returning from international matches. Nico O'Reilly returned early with an injury, though Norway manager Stale Solbakken downplayed concerns regarding Erling Haaland's fitness. Maresca faces the task of managing the squad amidst potential Premier League punishments, despite opening the season with five consecutive league wins.
