Jesse Marsch doesn’t mince his words. In addition to bashing Mauricio Pochettino’s United States team for the Folarin Balogun incident at this summer’s World Cup before the two sides meet on Tuesday, Marsch has also chimed in on Manchester City…

Canada head coach Jesse Marsch has called for Manchester City to face severe punishment, including relegation, following their recent financial rule breach rulings. An independent commission reportedly found Manchester City guilty of 114 out of 115 Premier League financial breaches regarding inflated revenue between 2009 and 2018. The club has vehemently denied the allegations and launched an appeal against the ruling before official penalties have been handed down.
Marsch, who previously managed Leeds United from 2022 to 2023, voiced skepticism over City's reported transfer business, specifically questioning their stated £52 million fee for Erling Haaland. He argued that City should be relegated, joining widespread calls for harsh penalties as their appeal prepares to be heard by a three-person independent panel.
