Former Bayern Munich teammates Thomas Müller and Robert Lewandowski are set to face each other on Tuesday night when the Vancouver Whitecaps visit the Chicago Fire at Soldier Field. The fixture was originally scheduled for July 16 but was postponed due to wildfire smoke. Lewandowski is available to feature after a UEFA suspension for Poland allowed him to return to the United States early.
Lewandowski has recorded seven goals and two assists in 14 appearances for Chicago since joining from FC Barcelona in July. Meanwhile, Müller and Western Conference leaders Vancouver enter the match starting a challenging regular-season finish where seven of their remaining eight matches are away from home.
