CF Montreal host Forge FC in Canadian Championship final, latest installment of rivalry

CF Montreal will host Canadian Premier League club Forge FC at Stade Saputo on Wednesday night in the 2026 Canadian Championship final for the Voyageurs Cup. Montreal reached their eighth final of the MLS era after ending the Vancouver Whitecaps' four-year reign in the semifinals. Forge FC are competing in their second Voyageurs Cup final after previously falling on penalties to Toronto FC.

The match serves as a crucial opportunity for Montreal, who are struggling at the bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference under interim manager Philippe Eullaffroy. Forge enter the match having eliminated Montreal from the competition in each of the past two seasons, while Montreal striker Prince Owusu remains an injury concern following a lower-body issue.
