The 18-year-old is one cap away from committing his long-term future to Northern Ireland, but the Republic of Ireland are still courting him

Arsenal teenager Ceadach O'Neill is at the center of an international tug-of-war between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The 18-year-old forward has made three senior appearances for Northern Ireland, meaning a fourth appearance would permanently tie his international eligibility to the Irish Football Association under FIFA rules.
Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill criticized the Football Association of Ireland for contacting the player's family following his squad call-up. Despite strong recruitment interest from the FAI, IFA development officials stated that the young forward remains fully dedicated to Northern Ireland.
