Gordon Strachan, who won six trophies as Celtic boss, reckons a tennis ball stunt aimed at Dermot Desmond 'crossed a line'

Former Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has condemned a recent fan protest against majority shareholder Dermot Desmond, stating the demonstration crossed the line. The incident occurred at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in St Andrews, where a group named the Celtic Fans Collective threw tennis balls wrapped in images of Desmond onto the 15th green at the Old Course.
Strachan urged for open communication and an end to hostile behavior amid growing tensions between fans and the board. Celtic currently leads the SPFL Premiership following a 2-0 win over Motherwell, though fan discontent has grown following two recent defeats to Rangers and a Europa League loss to Ferencvaros. Manager Martin O'Neill also criticized the protest.
