Parkhead supremo was targeted with tennis balls during Dunhill Links event

Celtic Football Club has released a strongly worded statement condemning a protest targeting principal shareholder Dermot Desmond at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews. Protesters in balaclavas threw tennis balls featuring Desmond's face onto the 15th green while he was playing alongside golfer Brooks Koepka. The club blamed the Celtic Fans Collective for organizing the pre-planned disruption.
In response to the incident, Celtic announced it will immediately cease all engagement with the Celtic Fans Collective and will no longer recognize it as a representative supporter group. The club also stated that anyone established to have been involved in planning or participating in the protest will receive indefinite bans from Celtic Park.
