Hibs ‘hold talks’ with 50 y/o over Easter Road managerial role as timing of David Gray sacking questioned

Hibernian have reportedly held talks with former Blackburn Rovers and Sweden manager Jon Dahl Tomasson to fill their vacant managerial position. The Easter Road club is seeking a replacement after sacking head coach David Gray following a 1-0 defeat to Kilmarnock. Speaking on the Open Goal podcast, former Scottish Premiership midfielder Andy Halliday revealed that discussions had taken place regarding the 50-year-old Danish coach.

Tomasson has been out of work since his departure from the Swedish national team 11 months ago. John Potter took interim charge of Hibernian for their recent 1-1 draw against Aberdeen. Other candidates linked to the vacancy include Marvin Bartley and Steve Evans, while podcast co-host Aiden McGeady questioned whether the Edinburgh club could match Tomasson's wage demands.
