The future of long-standing Arsenal target Arda Guler has been decided.
Arda Guler has agreed to sign a contract extension with Real Madrid, committing his future to the Spanish club until 2031. The agreement comes despite renewed interest and recent scouting from Arsenal, who monitored the 21-year-old Turkish playmaker during Turkey's match against Italy.
The new deal adds two years to Guler's previous contract set to expire in 2029 and includes a pay raise reflecting his growing role under manager Jose Mourinho. Arsenal had reportedly made repeated enquiries about Guler, but the agreed extension leaves little chance for a transfer.
