Barcelona defender Jules Kounde intends to stay at the club and compete for his starting spot despite interest from Premier League teams, according to Spanish journalist Juan Jesus. Although Chelsea has been linked with a potential permanent move in January to strengthen their defense, neither manager Hansi Flick nor Kounde are currently contemplating a transfer.
Kounde is reportedly aware of his current dip in form and currently sits behind Eric Garcia in the rotation. However, Flick maintains that opportunities remain open for the French defender to earn back his place in the lineup.
