According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Arsenal and Chelsea lead the race for the 27-year-old France international, who has seen reduced playing time under Hansi Flick.
While Kounde's profile fits Xabi Alonso's 3-4-2-1 formation, writer Cameron Smith argues that signing him would unwisely block the pathway of 20-year-old prospect Josh Acheampong. Barcelona currently have no interest in selling Kounde, who has over three-and-a-half years left on his contract.
