Barcelona defender Eric Garcia shared that he is "sad and angry" after sustaining a thigh injury that will sideline him for three to four weeks. The setback rules him out of upcoming crucial fixtures against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid. Garcia sustained the issue late in Saturday's La Liga victory over Real Betis, a match in which he also scored.
Taking to social media, Garcia expressed his frustration at missing matches that every player wants to be involved in while thanking supporters. Barcelona manager Hansi Flick will also be without Jules Kounde for the midweek Champions League clash against defending European champions PSG, requiring adjustments to the defensive lineup.
