Barcelona have reportedly renewed their interest in Arsenal defender Piero Hincapie ahead of the upcoming January transfer window. Sporting director Deco and club officials are exploring defensive reinforcements, and a report from Diario Sport claims Hincapie matches the profile Barcelona desire. The versatile left-footed player can operate at both center-back and left-back.
Hincapie is currently not a regular starter under Mikel Arteta, which could potentially open the door to a move. However, persuading Arteta to sanction a permanent departure may prove difficult given that the defender only signed permanently with Arsenal during the preceding summer following an initial loan spell.
