Julian Alvarez's market value has dropped by €10 million down to €110 million according to Transfermarkt, following a collapsed summer transfer to Barcelona and a slow start to the season with Atletico Madrid. Barcelona reportedly offered €100 million for the Argentine striker, but Atletico blocked the permanent transfer demanding significantly more.
Alvarez has managed only 83 minutes of league action across four appearances for manager Diego Simeone after missing early-season preparation due to illness. Meanwhile, Barcelona sporting director Deco indicated Alvarez is in the past, with the Catalan club having instead completed the signing of Gabriel Jesus.
