The Premier League sides are looking to sign Waterford striker Tommy Lonergan.
Leeds United have entered the race to complete a permanent signing of Waterford striker Tommy Lonergan, according to a report from TEAMtalk. Scouts from Leeds, Sunderland, Everton, Brentford, and Brighton watched the 22-year-old forward score two goals for Ireland Under-21s in a 3-1 win over England.
Lonergan has registered 20 combined goals and assists for Waterford this season and earned praise as "exceptional" from Ireland Under-21 manager Jim Crawford. Leeds are considering attacking reinforcements ahead of the January transfer window to provide backup for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
