Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that left-back Nuno Mendes suffered a muscle injury and will be sidelined for several weeks. The Portuguese defender picked up the injury after coming on as a second-half substitute during PSG's away victory against Strasbourg on Saturday. Consequently, Mendes is ruled out of Tuesday's major clash against Hansi Flick's Barcelona.
PSG manager Luis Enrique had rotated his squad heavily for the Strasbourg match, resting key players including Marquinhos. With Mendes unavailable, summer signing Lucas Digne is expected to step in at left-back during his absence.
