“He is hated by everyone”, a columnist from the L’Equipe channel targeted

Former football advisor and pundit Gilles Favard has strongly criticized L'Equipe channel columnist Yoann Riou during an appearance on the Facing Raju podcast. Favard claimed that Riou lacks footballing culture and alleged that the media personality is hated by everyone wherever he goes, reigniting a long-standing personal feud between the two television figures.

The friction dates back to 2017, when Favard and Riou had an on-air altercation during The Evening Team, leading to Favard threatening Riou. Favard previously received suspensions from the show for the altercation and for controversial remarks regarding former Olympique de Marseille defender Hiroki Sakai. Riou continues to appear regularly on the channel as a columnist on Greg's Team.
