Spain: Xavi Espart gets closer to the selection after his performance against PSG

Barcelona right-back Xavi Espart has reportedly earned a spot on Spain coach Luis de la Fuente's pre-selection list following an impressive Champions League performance against Paris Saint-Germain. Despite Barcelona's 4-2 defeat at the Parc des Princes, the 19-year-old scored a 55th-minute equalizing goal and defended solidly against Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué.

Espart, who recently signed a contract extension keeping him with Barcelona until 2030, has also registered a goal and two assists in La Liga this season. Barcelona manager Hansi Flick continues to praise the young defender, who previously played for Spain's youth national team and is now nearing a senior international debut.
